80% of Manifesto Promises Delivered, MoICE Official Claims

The National Outreach Coordinator at the Ministry of Information and Civic Education (MoICE), Abubakaar Joe Sesay, has said President Julius Maada Bio has delivered about 80 percent of the commitments outlined in his election manifesto, expressing confidence that additional promises will be fulfilled in the coming years.

Speaking during an interview on AYV Television, Sesay said the President has remained focused on implementing the government’s development agenda since assuming office.

“The President kept to his manifesto promises and has delivered 80% of it, and in the coming years, he is going to do more,” he said.

He argued that the administration’s performance reflects President Bio’s commitment to fulfilling promises made to Sierra Leoneans during the election campaign.

Sesay acknowledged that some commitments remain outstanding but expressed optimism that ongoing programmes and initiatives would address the remaining objectives.

The MoICE official further said the government is expected to build on its current achievements and deliver additional results before the end of its mandate.

His comments come amid ongoing public debate over the government’s performance and the extent to which its manifesto commitments have been implemented.
