10-Man Ports Authority Frustrate East End Lions in Premier League Opener

East End Lions FC began their 2025/26 Leone Rock Premier League campaign with a goalless draw against 10-man Ports Authority FC at the Trade Centre Field on Sunday, 11 October 2026.

The hosts started strongly, putting pressure on Ports Authority’s defence but failing to convert their early chances. The visitors gradually settled into the game, with Abass Conteh and Musa Kamara combining in attack but unable to find the net.

Ports Authority’s challenge intensified in the 41st minute when Abu Bakarr Conteh was sent off after receiving a second yellow card, leaving the Waterfront Boys with 10 players. However, goalkeeper Saio Conteh produced an impressive performance, making crucial saves to deny East End Lions before the break.

East End Lions continued to dominate possession in the second half and created better scoring opportunities, but Mohamed Fofonah missed a clear chance to secure victory for the hosts.

Ports Authority maintained a compact and disciplined defence until the final whistle, holding the Killers to a goalless draw and earning a valuable away point despite playing with 10 men.
