24-Year-Old Laborer Remanded for Alleged Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm

A 24-year-old laborer has been remanded in custody following charges of wounding with intent, actual bodily harm, and assault.
The defendant, Alie Kamara, appeared before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown. According to police allegations, on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at #28 Oliver Street, Aberdeen, Western Area, Freetown, Mr. Kamara is accused of wounding Carlton Johannes Wilson with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Additionally, counts two and three allege that on the same date and location, Alie Kamara maliciously wounded and assaulted Carlton Johannes Wilson, resulting in actual bodily harm.
No plea was entered as the charges were read and explained to the accused, as he is currently undergoing a preliminary investigation.
Prosecutor Sergeant Florence M. Wilson requested a brief adjournment due to the absence of her witnesses.
Magistrate Fornah denied bail, citing the seriousness of the charges, and the case was adjourned until July 24, 2025.
