Bike Riders Union Aspirant Launches Grassroots Engagement Tour in Kenema

In the lead-up to the Kenema District Bike Riders Union elections scheduled for 23rd April 2026, an aspirant for the position of District Chairman, Safia Kpaika, popularly known as “Biggie,” has commenced a strategic engagement tour across key bike riders’ parks in Kenema District.

On Sunday, 29th March 2026, Kpaika undertook a series of courtesy visits to executive members and riders in Panguma, Dodo, Boajibu Simbaru, and Gbado Kandu Leppiema. He also engaged representatives from Fala Wandor as part of his broader grassroots outreach initiative aimed at strengthening direct engagement with riders and gaining insight into their concerns.

During the interactions, Kpaika outlined his vision and plans for the union, emphasizing the importance of unity, improved welfare, and stronger representation for bike riders across the district. He stressed that effective leadership must prioritize the interests of riders while promoting discipline, accountability, and collaboration within the union.

The engagements provided an open platform for riders and park executives to interact with the aspirant, raise operational challenges, and express their expectations for the union’s future leadership.

Kpaika’s ongoing tour signals an early and well-coordinated campaign effort as the race for the district chairmanship begins to gather momentum. His approach underscores a focus on grassroots mobilization and inclusive dialogue within the riders’ community.

The forthcoming election is expected to draw significant attention from riders across Kenema District, given the pivotal role the union plays in coordinating activities and advocating for the welfare and interests of its members.
