Bo Rangers Close Gap on Leaders After Narrow Win Over Bhantal FC

Bo Rangers FC secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bhantal FC on Tuesday evening at the Southern Arena in the second round of the ongoing Leone Rock Premier League.

Striker Abu Komeh netted the decisive goal, calmly finishing off a well-delivered cross from forward Mohamadu Lamin to hand the home side a crucial advantage.

The victory sees the Elephants move to within one point of league leaders Star Sports Academy, who suffered a setback following their defeat to Mighty Blackpool a day earlier.

Despite the loss, Bhantal FC delivered a spirited performance, creating several chances on target. However, Bo Rangers’ young goalkeeper, Noah Kamara, proved outstanding between the posts, making a series of crucial saves to deny the visitors.

Both sides had previously settled for a goalless draw in their first league meeting this season. Bhantal FC also featured familiar faces, including former Bo Rangers defender Yemi Dunia and Head Coach John Dominic Konneh, who were eager to make an impact against their former club.

Bo Rangers will now turn their focus to their next fixture away to Freetown City Football Club on Saturday as they continue their push for the league title.
