East End Lions Secure Valuable Draw Against AFA Madu Diallo

Sierra Leone FA Cup champions East End Lions FC secured a valuable 1–1 draw against AFA Madu Diallo FC in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup qualifying tie in Abidjan.
The Ivorian hosts took the lead shortly before half-time, sending East End Lions into the break trailing by a goal.
The Sierra Leonean champions responded after the interval, with Saymah Kamara finding the back of the net to level the score and ensure the match ended all square.
The result leaves the two-legged tie evenly poised, with both sides still in contention for a place in the next round of the continental competition.
East End Lions will now prepare for the return leg at the SKD Complex in Liberia, where they will look to secure the result needed to advance to the next stage.
