Fourah Bay College (FBC) has claimed the championship title at the prestigious 2026 Suad Baydoun National Debate and Essay Competition, showcasing exceptional academic talent and rhetorical skill.
FBC captured the top prize through a compelling display of analytical reasoning, rigorous research, public speaking eloquence, and unwavering confidence. Milton Margai Technical University (MMTU) earned the first runner-up spot after an equally impressive and hard-fought performance in the finals.
Designed to cultivate critical thinking, research proficiency, and persuasive communication among Sierra Leone’s youth, the competition serves as a premier intellectual platform.
