FC Kallon's CAF Confederation Cup journey came to an end on Saturday, after they were defeated 3-2 on aggregate by Dreams FC. The Ghanaian side won the first leg 2-1, and held FC Kallon to a 1-1 draw in the second leg.
Boateng Agyenim put Dreams FC ahead in the sixth minute of the second leg, but Mamoud Fofanah converted a penalty in the closing stages to level the tie on aggregate. However, it was not enough for FC Kallon, who were eliminated from the competition.
Despite the defeat, FC Kallon can be proud of their performance in the competition. They reached the second preliminary round for the first time in their history, and they pushed Dreams FC all the way.
FC Kallon will now turn their attention to the domestic league, which is expected to commence on November 3, 2023. They hope to mount a title challenge this season and qualify for the CAF Champions League next year.
