Food Reimagined Supports Koinadugu Water Project

The Food Reimagined initiative has supported the provision of a community water facility in Lirroh, Koinadugu District, following an intervention involving Attorney General Alpha Sesay, Sisters Bristow and the KrisReffell Foundation.

The project was undertaken after environmental damage rendered the community’s previous water source unusable, leaving residents with limited access to safe drinking water and forcing them to travel to neighbouring villages to meet their daily water needs.

According to the organisers, proceeds from last year’s Food Reimagined event contributed to the construction and subsequent handover of the water facility, providing residents with improved access to water. The intervention forms part of the initiative’s efforts to support community development through proceeds generated from its annual event.

Food Reimagined is scheduled to return to the Golf Club on Saturday, 7 November 2026. The event is expected to bring together members of the public for an evening of food and social engagement, while also raising support for community-focused interventions.

Organisers are encouraging the public to purchase tickets and participate in this year’s event, noting that proceeds will contribute to initiatives aimed at addressing community needs across Sierra Leone. The Lirroh water project highlights the role of partnerships and community-driven initiatives in supporting access to essential services.
