Francess FC Secures Victory at Sourbah Foundation Football Tournament in Kenema

The Sourbah Foundation Football Tournament concluded in Kenema, featuring Francess FC, Reservation Rovers, Luawa FC, and Sierra Lions. Francess FC secured the championship after a 4-0 semi-final win against Luawa FC and a 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Sierra Lions following a scoreless final.
Sierra Lions advanced to the final after defeating Reservation Rovers 7-6 on penalties in the second semi-final. Prominent individual performers included Dickson Rogers (Best Goalkeeper), Edward Mohai (Best Player), and Mohamed Bangura (Man of the Match).
Financial awards included SLE 8,000 for the winners, SLE 4,000 for the runners-up, and SLE 1,000 participation prizes for Luawa FC and Reservation Rovers. Equipment was also distributed, with the champions receiving two footballs and the remaining teams receiving one each.
Mr. Mohamed Sourbah reaffirmed his commitment to supporting grassroots football development through future tournaments. Mr. Mohamed Patteh Jabbie, Chairman of the Kenema District Football Association, commended the initiative for its role in promoting local talent.
