The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has announced that the senior national team, the Scorpions, will resume international competitive play with a series of high-profile friendly matches scheduled for the forthcoming months.
The Federation is currently finalizing negotiations for two international fixtures against Sierra Leone and Guinea-Bissau. These matches are tentatively slated to be hosted in The Gambia in June 2026.
These engagements will signify the return of international football to the Independence Stadium, as comprehensive preparations are in progress to welcome our regional counterparts to Gambian soil.
The GFF will provide formal notification regarding specific match dates, kick-off times, and ticketing procedures once the contractual arrangements are concluded.
