GYC-SL Welcomes Dr. Tsi Tsi Mufunzi As New Board Chairlady

The Global Youth Counterpart for Sustainable Development in Sierra Leone (GYC-SL) has paid a familiarization visit to its newly appointed Board Chairlady, Dr. Tsi Tsi Mufunzi, Executive Director of YAMSAL.

The visit formed part of the organization’s efforts to strengthen institutional leadership, promote effective governance and foster stronger working relationships between the Board and management.

During the engagement, the GYC-SL delegation formally welcomed Dr. Mufunzi to her new leadership role and held discussions on key areas, including organizational development, strategic leadership, youth empowerment, climate action and sustainable development.

The organization expressed confidence that Dr. Mufunzi’s experience, expertise and commitment to youth development and sustainability would provide valuable strategic guidance as GYC-SL continues to advance its mission.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the GYC-SL leadership and the new Board Chairlady to exchange ideas, strengthen mutual understanding and explore opportunities for greater collaboration in promoting youth-led development initiatives.

GYC-SL reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Board under a shared vision of empowering young people and promoting sustainable development.

The organization welcomed Dr. Mufunzi to her new role and expressed optimism about the future of GYC-SL under her leadership and guidance.
