Nineteen-year-old British-Sierra Leonean swimmer Halle Harris made a definitive mark on the international stage this week, producing a standout performance during her Commonwealth Games debut at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
Competing in the Women’s 50m Freestyle, Harris powered to victory in Heat 8, clocking an impressive time of 26.1 seconds. The result placed her 18th overall in a highly competitive field of 66 swimmers. Her performance was strong enough to secure a position as a reserve for the semi-finals, keeping the young athlete in contention for further progression should a spot become available.
