IPAM Expands Extra-Mural Studies in Pujehun, Introduces Degree Programs
The Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) has officially opened admissions for its extra-mural studies program in Pujehun District for the 2026/2027 academic year, marking a key milestone in local access to higher education.
In an interview with Radio Wanjei, IPAM Centre Coordinator for Pujehun, Mr. Solomon Massaquoi, announced that the center is expanding its curriculum to offer full degree programs alongside its established diploma and certificate courses.
“The introduction of degree programs will provide residents of Pujehun and neighboring areas with direct access to higher education, eliminating the need to relocate to major urban centers,” Massaquoi stated.
Designed specifically with flexibility in mind, the extra-mural courses will feature tailored schedules allowing working professionals to advance their qualifications without interrupting their employment or career commitments.
The expansion coincides with the fifth anniversary of IPAM’s presence in the district, underscoring the institution’s long-term commitment to decentralizing tertiary education across Sierra Leone.
The newly introduced degree offerings will initially include Bachelor's programs in Business Management as well as Procurement and Supply Management, among other disciplines.
Massaquoi urged local residents, civil servants, and young adults to take full advantage of the opportunities now available within their home district to further their academic and professional goals.
