Koidu City Queens FC Issues Appeal for Strategic Investment

Koidu City Queens FC, a cornerstone of female athletics in Sierra Leone’s Kono District, continues to spearhead the advancement of women’s football within the Eastern Province. The club remains dedicated to the identification and cultivation of emerging talent, providing a critical pathway for young sportswomen to transition into professional competitive environments.

The efficacy of the club’s development program is evidenced by the successful integration of its personnel into the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League. Notable talents currently on loan at Patricia Umu FC include Veronica Senessie, Comfort Kamara, Esther Yea Kamara, Adama Hawa Jalloh, and Elizabeth Mbuttie. These players represent the high technical standard and competitive readiness fostered by the Koidu United Queens technical staff.

However, despite these achievements in grassroots development, the organization is currently navigating significant fiscal constraints. These financial headwinds pose a direct threat to the club’s operational sustainability and its capacity to maintain current development initiatives for regional female talent.

In response to these challenges, the club’s management has formally issued an appeal to corporate partners, international NGOs, and private stakeholders for logistical and material support. The immediate requirements encompass a broad spectrum of professional equipment, including match-grade footballs, comprehensive team kits, specialized training apparel, boots, and essential medical supplies for athlete rehabilitation.

Koidu United Queens FC remains optimistic that through strategic partnerships and community engagement, the club will secure the necessary resources to sustain its mission. The management emphasizes that supporting this initiative is not merely a charitable contribution but a vital investment in the future of the national sporting landscape in Sierra Leone.
