Leone Rock Injects Le 4 Billion Old Leones into 2025–26 Premier League Season

Leone Rock Metal Group has officially signed a major sponsorship agreement with the Sierra Leone Premier League worth NLe 4,066,164 (approximately $180,000) for the 2025–2026 season, marking a significant boost for the country’s top-flight football.
Speaking at the signing ceremony at the Bintumani Conference Center, senior representatives of Leone Rock emphasized that the partnership aligns with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility, aiming to promote football development and support youth engagement in sports.
In response, SLFA President Babadi Kamara hailed the deal as “an investment in the future of Sierra Leonean football” and assured that the funds would be fully utilized to enhance the league. Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James Teima, described the sponsorship as a milestone that will not only uplift football but also create job opportunities for talented youths across the country.

The sponsorship marks Leone Rock’s third consecutive headline deal, following previous contributions of $80,000 in 2023/24 and $150,000 in 2024/25, bringing the company’s total investment in the league to over $400,000. The new funding is expected to enhance league operations, improve match-day standards, and elevate the competition’s profile both locally and internationally.
The 2025/26 Leone Rock Premier League is set to kick off on Saturday, 8th November 2025, with clubs, players, and fans eager to witness a thrilling season energized by the sponsorship.
