Sierra Leone–born goalkeeper Mamadou Wurie Jalloh will remain on loan at Finnish top-flight club Vaasan Palloseura (VPS) from Danish side Brøndby IF through the end of November 2026, the clubs confirmed this week.
Jalloh joined VPS earlier in 2025 in a deal designed to give the 18-year-old much-needed first-team exposure. Since his arrival, he has gained regular game time making his debut in a 2–1 win over FC KTP in September 2025.
VPS and Brøndby officials believe the loan extension will provide a “strong platform for continued growth” as Jalloh earns senior-level minutes under competitive conditions.
At club level, Jalloh remains contracted to Brøndby until 2028. Meanwhile, his performances for VPS are building optimism about his potential to become a regular for both club and country. In recent matches, he has registered several clean sheets and shown composure between the posts a testament to his shot-stopping ability and mental strength under pressure.
On the international front, Jalloh eligible to represent Sierra Leone, Denmark and Guinea has already drawn attention from national team selectors. His agent recently urged the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to expedite his nationality switch so he can feature for the senior national team.
The decision to extend his loan underscores the player’s upward trajectory, reflecting both VPS’s confidence in him and Brøndby’s long-term vision for his development.
