Murder Conspiracy: Suspects Committed to Kenema High Court

Lansana Konneh, an 18-year-old power saw operator, has been committed to the High Court in Kenema by His Worship, Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of Magistrate Court No. 1. The committal follows allegations of murder and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Court Clerk Ibrahim Tomboyeke read the charges, stating that on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Jenneh Town, Kandu Leppiama Chiefdom, the defendant allegedly conspired with unidentified individuals to murder Abubakarr Lolleh.
No plea was taken during the preliminary proceedings.
Konneh has been remanded at the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre (SLCC) in Kenema pending his appearance before the High Court.
In a separate development, 31-year-old farmer Ibrahim Pieh appeared before Magistrate Daboh on murder charges. The prosecution alleged that Pieh committed the offence in violation of Section 1 of the Offences Against the Person Act of 1861, as amended by the Abolition of the Death Penalty Act of 2022.
The defendant is accused of murdering Amara Musa on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at an oil palm plantation in Talia Torgboma, Nongowa Chiefdom. Pieh remains in custody at the SLCC.
The case is being prosecuted by ASP Sulaiman Kamara and Inspector Alphan Samuel Musa of the Legal and Justice Support Department.
