A missing infant was successfully reunited with authorities in Freetown, Sierra Leone, after being brought to Segbwema Hospital due to illness, where an attentive nurse identified him.
Nurse Magdalene observed inconsistencies when a woman, claiming to be the mother, brought in the sick child but did not breastfeed him despite his cries.
This observation was reported, leading to an investigation that confirmed the infant was indeed the missing child.
Nurse Magdalene then transported the child to Cottage Hospital in Freetown, where he is currently responding well to medical treatment.
Dr. Isata Mahoi, the Minister of Gender, supervised the child's care until 1:20 AM today, coordinating with authorities who will release information to the public as necessary.
