PDFA Engages Malen Paramount Chief on Sports Development
The Pujehun District Football Association (PDFA) has paid a courtesy visit to the Paramount Chief of Malen Chiefdom, PC Maada Joe Kpunyeh Kebbie IV, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and promote sports development within the chiefdom and Pujehun District.
The delegation, led by PDFA Chairman Usman Alphan Konneh, was received by the Paramount Chief at his residence, where discussions focused on football development, youth engagement, community participation and the role of traditional leadership in supporting sporting activities.
During the visit, Chairman Konneh expressed appreciation to PC Maada Joe Kpunyeh Kebbie IV for his leadership and commitment to youth development. He also highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for young footballers to develop their talents and contribute positively to their communities.
The Paramount Chief welcomed the delegation and commended the PDFA for recognising the role of traditional authorities in promoting sports development. He encouraged the association to continue promoting discipline, unity and fair play among young people involved in football.
PC Maada Joe Kpunyeh Kebbie IV further assured the delegation of his willingness to support initiatives aimed at promoting youth development and sports within Malen Chiefdom. He also encouraged young people to use football as a platform to develop their talents and build their future.
The visit ended with both sides expressing their commitment to maintaining a strong relationship and working together to advance football and youth development in Malen Chiefdom and Pujehun District.
