Rap War Brewing: Boss LAJ Drops Teaser as Rap G Plots "Payback"

The Sierra Leonean music scene is currently gripped by a high-stakes standoff between rap giant King Boss LAJ and Rap G. Social media has been sent into a frenzy after the head of Red Flag Music(RFM) Alhaji Amadu Bah, known as King Boss LAJ, released a cryptic teaser and "title menu" for an upcoming project, generating massive engagement across TikTok, Facebook, and WhatsApp.

The teaser questions the distribution of resources amidst growing economic difficulties.

While fans wait for the full drop, fellow artist Rap G of Black Leo has disrupted the release schedule with a strategic move of his own. Rap Gee claims to have recorded a rebuttal track of his own, to Laj's hinted track.

Despite having a track ready for release, Rap G has announced he will hold back his song until LAJ officially drops his full track. Insiders suggest this "payback" maneuver is designed to counter LAJ’s release directly, aiming to reclaim the spotlight and maximize lyrical impact.

The teaser has not been without its detractors. 

Critics and fans have taken to social media to question the timing of LAJ's content, with some drawing comparisons to his previous tenure as the country's official Peace Ambassador and questioning why this energy was not channeled similarly during that time.

As the industry watches closely, the ball remains in LAJ's court. 

Fans are left waiting to see if he will release the full track anytime soon after so much pressure and if the mounting pressure will force Rap G to abandon his waiting game and release his own track ahead of Laj’s.
