Amadu Mansaray, a security guard, appeared before Magistrate John Manson Fornah of Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown, facing charges of grand larceny.
Mansaray was formally charged with one count of Office Breaking and Larceny, in contravention of Section 20(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
The police contend that on June 18, 2025, at the Christian Action Church in Freetown, Mr. Mansaray unlawfully entered the office of Pastor Fodie Kanneh with the intent to commit theft, subsequently absconding with a desktop computer valued at 8,500 Leones, which was the personal property of the aforementioned pastor.
Upon the formal reading and explanation of the charges to the accused, no plea was entered.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Isatu Baba Musa, representing the prosecution, requested a brief adjournment due to the unavailability of key witnesses.
Magistrate Fornah subsequently denied bail and ordered that Mr. Mansaray be remanded to the Male Correctional Facility in Freetown.
The case has been adjourned to July 1, 2025, for further proceedings.

Thanks for the update.
