SLFA Announces Qualified Candidates for 2025 Ordinary Congress Elections


The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Electoral Committee has officially announced the results of its nomination and vetting process for the upcoming 2025 SLFA Ordinary Congress, scheduled for August 2. This press release, issued from Freetown on June 19, 2025, details the qualified candidates for various key positions.


Following a ten-day nomination window from June 5 to June 15, application bundles were thoroughly reviewed against SLFA Statutes, specifically Article 25 paragraph 3 and Article 32 paragraphs 4 & 5, which outline eligibility requirements such as active football participation and residency.

For the highly contested Presidential position, four candidates have been cleared: Ms. Aminata Bangura, Mr. Babadi Kamara, Mr. Thomas Brima, and Mr. Umaru Bah.


In the race for Vice President 1, two individuals have been deemed qualified: Mr. Alie Badara Tarawallie and Mr. Harold Nathaniel Bankole Johnson.


The Vice President 2 position will see Mr. Christian Dauda Thompson and Mr. Prince Kai Saquee contesting.

Finally, seven candidates have been approved for the Ex-Officio roles: Ms. Musu Bangura, Ms. Ramatulai Kamara, Mr. Abdul Aziz Jalloh, Mr. Mohamed Sorie Jalloh, Mr. Musa Komrabal Dura Mahmood, Mr. Kweku Melvin Sheldon Lisk, and Mr. Kasho Joseph Holland Cole.


All qualified candidates are subject to further integrity checks by the Ethics Committee. The Electoral Committee reaffirms its commitment to a credible, free, fair, and transparent electoral process, aiming for a peaceful election.
