SLFA Receives Tech Donation to Professionalize League Officiating

Leone Rock Metal Group (LRMG) has reaffirmed its commitment to the advancement of football in Sierra Leone by donating seven sets of professional referee communication systems and electronic substitution boards to the Leone Rock Premier League.
The high-grade equipment, destined for the league’s seven primary venues, was formally presented to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Vice President 2, Prince Saquee, alongside Executive Committee member and North-West Region Chairman, Abdul Osman Turay.
During the presentation, Senior Administrative Officer Brima Turay highlighted that this initiative is a pivotal step toward elevating officiating standards. He noted that integrating modern technology into the league has been a long-term objective, marking a significant milestone in the professionalization of the sport in the region.
The deployment of these tools is specifically designed to minimize human error in officiating, thereby enhancing the overall integrity, credibility, and competitive quality of the league.
Vice President Prince Saquee expressed his gratitude on behalf of the SLFA President and Executive Committee, emphasizing that real-time communication is essential in modern football. He remarked that the donation would empower referees to make more precise and timely decisions on the field.
Mr. Saquee further encouraged a sustained partnership, noting that such corporate interventions are vital for the long-term growth and success of Sierra Leonean football.
As the headline sponsor of the current season, Leone Rock Metal Group has invested $180,000 into the league, underscoring its role as a key patron of athletic excellence and national development.
