Speaker Orders Release of WASSCE Results
The Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Segepoh Thomas, has directed the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to immediately release the withheld 2026 WASSCE results for candidates lacking sufficient evidence of examination malpractice.
To ensure transparency, the Speaker called for a joint committee featuring Civil Society Organisations to review all withheld results. The committee will also inspect the Ministry of Education's process for recruiting examination officers and evaluate WAEC's overall operational capacity for managing public examinations.
Additionally, Education Minister Conrad O. Sackey has been instructed to report to Parliament within four working days with an update on the ongoing investigation and an official timeline for resolving the issue.
