Sahid Kargbo, a student accused of forging a West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) result, appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah at the Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown.

Kargbo faces three counts, including conspiracy to defraud, forgery, and uttering a forged document, in violation of the Forgery Act of 1913.

The prosecution alleges that on May 12, 2026, Kargbo, working with unknown individuals, attempted to defraud the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, Connaught Campus.

The charges stem from the alleged presentation of a fabricated WAEC certificate, bearing candidate number 7021003204, with the intent to deceive the institution. No plea was entered, as the case is currently in committal proceedings.

Magistrate Jah granted Kargbo bail set at five hundred thousand Leones, requiring two sureties who are Freetown residents.

At least one surety must be employed or present proof of business, and both must provide valid identification. The case has been adjourned until July 6, 2026.
