VP Jalloh Pushes for Timely Completion of BADEA-Funded School Projects

Vice President Dr Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has called for improved project management, stronger coordination and timely completion of education infrastructure projects during an inspection of BADEA-funded facilities at Prince of Wales Secondary School and Milton Margai Technical University’s Brookfields campus.

The projects include classroom construction, modern educational facilities, renovation of existing buildings, staff quarters and perimeter fencing to improve security and the learning environment.

During the inspection, Dr Jalloh identified contractor-related, financial, administrative and project management challenges affecting implementation. He stressed the need for effective coordination from planning and financing through construction and final delivery, adding that the findings would inform a report highlighting progress and outstanding issues.

Meanwhile, National Coordinator of the Civil Rights Coalition, Alphozo Manley, commended the Vice President’s monitoring efforts, noting that they had helped accelerate project implementation. He also called for continued supervision, proper maintenance and reliable water supply, particularly during the dry season.

Dr Jalloh is expected to extend the monitoring exercise to other BADEA-funded projects across the provinces to assess progress, ensure quality standards and promote timely completion.
