The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Sierra Leone has reassured parents and students that the withheld results for the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) will be published before September, contingent upon school administrators fulfilling necessary compliance requirements.
Speaking on the matter, WAEC Sierra Leone’s Public Affairs Officer, Salieu Kamara, clarified that the withholding of candidates' scores stems primarily from three key administrative and regulatory issues:
Continuous Assessment Deficits: Failure by certain schools to submit candidate Continuous Assessment Scores.
Registration Omissions: Omission of candidate registrations by school administrations prior to the examinations.
Malpractice Investigations: Reported instances of examination malpractice currently under review.
Kamara emphasized that once school authorities resolve these outstanding discrepancies and complete the verification protocols, the council will promptly release the results to affected pupils.
