Wanjama Stars Crowned Champions of Radical Inclusion League in Pujehun

Wanjama Stars Football Club have emerged champions of the Radical Inclusion Movement League in Pujehun District following a competitive football tournament aimed at promoting inclusion, unity, peace and youth participation through sports.

The tournament brought together football teams and young people from different communities across the district, providing an opportunity for youths to showcase their talents while promoting the principles of radical inclusion and peaceful coexistence.

Speaking to Pujehun Daily News, Paul Amadu Sengeh Jr said the initiative was aimed at bringing football lovers together and promoting peace, particularly among young people.

He said Wanjama Stars FC performed strongly throughout the competition before securing the championship after a series of matches. The team’s victory was celebrated by supporters, community members and football enthusiasts who gathered for the final.

Speaking during the event, Alhassan Jaiah Jaiah Kallon, popularly known as General Asasa, the chief organiser of the Radical Inclusion Movement League, emphasised the importance of using football to bring young people together, promote equal participation and create opportunities for marginalised groups within communities.

He also encouraged young people to continue using sports as a positive avenue for developing their talents, building friendships and contributing to peace and social cohesion in Pujehun District.

According to the organisers, the Radical Inclusion Movement League was funded and supported by Dr David Moinina Sengeh, Chief Minister of Sierra Leone and a native of Pujehun District.

Meanwhile, the head coach of Wanjama Stars FC, Junior Joy, said the team’s victory was a significant achievement for the club and added to the growing football activities in the district.

Wanjama Stars FC were subsequently celebrated as champions of the Radical Inclusion Movement League.
