18-Year-Old Mechanic Remanded for Larceny at Pademba Road Court

An 18-year-old vehicle mechanic, Raymond Kalokoh, has been remanded at the male correctional facility after pleading guilty to a charge of larceny before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1.
Kalokoh was arraigned on a single count of larceny, contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916. According to the prosecution, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Connaught Government Hospital, he stole four yards of 70mm cables, a 12-volt direct current (DC) alternator, and other items valued at Le26,300. The property was reportedly in the custody of Abdul Turay at the time of the theft.
Upon reading the charge, Kalokoh pleaded guilty. Citing the seriousness of the offense, Magistrate Jah denied bail and ordered that the defendant be remanded pending sentencing.
The case has been adjourned to April 14, 2026, for record and sentencing.
