Lamin Mansaray, a 23-year-old man accused of housebreaking and larceny, has been remanded to the correctional facility following his appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2.
The defendant faces a single charge under Section 26(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the particulars of the offense, Mansaray allegedly broke into the residence of Adama Nourah Ngobeh at #93 Wilkinson Road, Freetown, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, with the intent to commit theft.
During the incident, he is accused of stealing a Samsung air conditioner, three bags of charcoal, and other assorted items valued at a total of 12,550 Leones.
As the case is currently at the committal stage, no plea was entered. The prosecution informed the court that the defendant had been served with the necessary statements, which he acknowledged.
Citing the severity of the offense, Magistrate Fornah denied the bail application and ordered the defendant remanded. The matter has been adjourned to June 22, 2026, for further proceedings.
