Alfred Pius Faces Pressure at Kamboi Eagles Amid Poor League Form

Kenema Kamboi Eagles head coach Alfred Pius is under increasing pressure following a disappointing run of results in the current Premier League season, with reports suggesting the club’s executive is considering his future.

Pius, who impressed during his first season in charge, has been unable to replicate that form this campaign, with the Eagles struggling to break into the top half of the league table. Instead, the team currently finds itself lingering outside the top ten, far from the title contention expectations set at the start of the season.

The Nigerian-born coach, who took over from former head coach Jack, was widely expected to mount a strong challenge in the league. However, the season has so far fallen short of expectations, with performances described as inconsistent and underwhelming.

Despite significant investment in the squad during the transfer window—reportedly amounting to millions of leones—the team has struggled to deliver results on the pitch.

Kamboi Eagles have recorded 11 defeats, 3 draws, and just 6 wins in the league this season, leaving them with growing concerns about their league position and potential relegation risks if results do not improve.

While the team is also set to participate in the 2025/26 Orange FA Cup, attention remains firmly on their league struggles and the future of the coaching setup.

Pius has reportedly come under mounting pressure from the club’s hierarchy, with internal discussions said to be ongoing regarding his long-term position at the helm of the team.
