Alhaji Bangura Invests NLe 10,000 in Prince of Wales Youth

Alhaji Dauda Musa Bangura, Vice President II of the Old Prince Waleans Association (OPWA), announced a donation of NLe 10,000 to the Prince of Wales community on Tuesday, 14th April 2026. The contribution is designated to support the Scout (6th Freetown Troop) and the Class of 2006.


The donation was split evenly, with NLe 5,000 allocated to the Prince of Wales Scout to fund their ongoing camping activities, and NLe 5,000 presented to the Class of 2006 as financial encouragement.


During the presentation, Alhaji Bangura stated that the support aligns with his commitment to the institution and to investing in young people. "This support is meant to strengthen both the scouting body and the Class of 2006. I believe in investing in young people and encouraging them to strive for excellence," he commented.


The Scout Unit Leader expressed appreciation for the donation, confirming that it will enhance their camping program and overall activities. The troop described the support as both timely and beneficial, and urged other alumni to follow this example.


Similarly, the Coordinator for the Class of 2006 conveyed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues, noting that the funds will serve as motivation for them to remain focused on their studies and uphold the values of the institution.


The donation is recognized as a positive demonstration of leadership and commitment to youth development within the Prince of Wales community, highlighting the importance of sustained alumni support for both academic and extracurricular growth.
