Aminata Filling Station Opens New Branch in Kenema

Aminata Filling Station on Thursday, 2nd October 2025, commissioned a new station on Hangha Road, Kenema City, aimed at improving access to petroleum products and creating employment opportunities.


The brief ceremony was attended by local officials, religious leaders, representatives of the Drivers’ Union, the Board Chairman of the National Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NPRA), and security personnel.

During the event, the company acknowledged the support of President Julius Maada Bio’s administration in creating an enabling environment for Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to operate and expand across Sierra Leone.


“The goal of this new branch is to provide high-quality petroleum products and create employment opportunities, particularly for women, while enhancing service to our consumers,” said the station’s management.

Kenema City Chief, Chief Ngombulango, thanked Aminata Filling Station for the new facility, urging continued investment in fuel stations across the district and region.


Mr. Michael Hallie Kendor, NPRA Board Chairman, reiterated the government’s commitment to the petroleum sector and projected that petroleum prices could drop to single digits by 2026–2027.

The station’s CEO, Mohamed Turay, thanked consumers and stakeholders for their support and provided free fuel 100 litres for bike riders and 50 litres for keke riders to attendees.


The event concluded with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony by the CEO, accompanied by the NPRA Board Chairman and other stakeholders, followed by refreshments for guests.
