Burglary, Stolen Bike, and Unlawful Possession - Kenema Court Sends Five to Jail

Three defendants Musa Lahai and Ibrahim Kamara, both commercial motorbike riders, and Abubakarr Konneh were on 8 October 2025 remanded at the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre by Principal Magistrate Hadiru Daboh in Kenema for alleged burglary and larceny.
The accused persons were arraigned on two counts of Conspiracy Contrary to Law and Burglary and Larceny contrary to Sections 25(1) and 13(a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the prosecutor, ASP Sulaiman Kamara Esq., the three defendants, on 18 September 2025 at Panderu Village, Nongowa Chiefdom in the Kenema Judicial District, conspired with unknown persons to commit a felony. They allegedly broke into the dwelling house of Kadiatu Kamara and stole one Itel Android mobile phone valued at NLe 2,240, property of the said Kadiatu Kamara.
No plea was taken, and the defendants were remanded at the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre. The matter was adjourned to 16 October 2025 for further hearing.
In a separate case, Foday Kemokai, alias D9, and Mohamed Kallon, alias Akor, made their first court appearance before Magistrate Hadiru Daboh on three counts, including Conspiracy and Unlawful Possession Contrary to Law.
According to ASP Sulaiman Kamara Esq., the two accused persons, on 19 September 2025 at Dama Road Roundabout in Kenema City, conspired with unknown individuals to commit a crime specifically, being found in possession of house-breaking implements.
They were allegedly found in possession of a Star HLX 125 motorbike, with registration number AXG 987, suspected to have been stolen or illegally obtained.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty to all three counts. They were remanded at the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre, and the matter was adjourned to 16 October 2025 for hearing.
