With funding from inter-mission international, the Cotton Tree Foundation Sierra Leone (CTF-SL) recently provided essential learning materials to the National Islamic Primary School in Njala Gaura Chiefdom, Kenema District.

This initiative, held on October 21, 2025, benefited 161 pupils and underscores CTF-SL's dedication to education and community development.

The distribution, the second of its kind for the school, included uniforms, textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and sharpeners. This timely support aims to alleviate the financial burden on families and complement the government's efforts to address shortages of educational resources.

The event was a collaborative effort, involving representatives from the Women's and Youth Development Centre Sierra Leone (WYDC-SL) and traditional authorities, including the Section Chief and Town Chiefs.

CTF-SL, a national non-profit organization established in 2000 by the late Mr. Michael Momodu Kamara, is committed to reducing poverty in Sierra Leone. Pupils and educators expressed profound gratitude for this continued investment in education, highlighting its positive impact on learning.

The initiative also reinforced CTF-SL's role in improving access to quality education and fostering strong partnerships within its host communities.

The program concluded with a school feeding initiative, a long-standing effort by the Cotton Tree Foundation. This comprehensive support exemplifies CTF-SL's unwavering commitment to the social and economic development of the communities it serves.
