SLPP Leaders Commend President Bio's Leadership and Achievements During State House Visit

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, Sir Jimmy Batilo Songa, National Chairman of the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP), led a delegation of national, regional, and district chairmen on a courtesy visit to President Julius Maada Bio at the State House.
The primary objective of the visit was to convey appreciation to President Bio for his steadfast leadership, which successfully guided the SLPP through a seamless national convention, resulting in the formation of a robust and unified national executive.
During the meeting, the delegation acknowledged the President's significant accomplishments, including enhancing Sierra Leone's international standing, his leadership role within ECOWAS, and successful initiatives fostering foreign investment and economic growth.
The delegation further highlighted the President's contributions to national development, specifically mentioning the Free Quality Education initiative, the "Feed Salone" program, the repeal of the criminal libel law, youth empowerment efforts, and the revitalization of the health sector, among other achievements.
Furthermore, SLPP officials reiterated their commitment to supporting President Bio's agenda and safeguarding his developmental progress and legacy in preparation for the upcoming 2028 elections.
Jimmy Batilo Songa underscored the party's dedication and readiness to advance the President's vision for the country.
