Alusine Alie, a 20-year-old mason, was ordered into custodial remand subsequent to his arraignment before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No.2. He stands accused of conspiracy to commit a felony and the theft of a generator and a pumping machine.
The prosecution asserts that on Thursday, 19th March 2026, at Damaya Drive, Hill Station, Mountain Rural District, Freetown, Mr. Alie allegedly conspired with unapprehended individuals to commit a crime. Furthermore, he is charged with stealing a Honda 45 K.Y.A generator (valued at L7,000) and an automatic shingle primary pumping machine (valued at L5,500), property belonging to Izick Mustapha Conteh, with the total value of the stolen assets amounting to L12,500.
After the charges were formally read, the defendant entered a plea of not guilty.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Isatu Baba Musa notified the court that the defendant had been duly served with a copy of the prosecution's witness statement.
Given the gravity of the offenses, Magistrate Fornah denied bail and ordered the defendant into custody. The matter has been adjourned for continuation of proceedings on 7th May 2026.
