According to SierraEye Magazine, DNA testing was performed at Ramsy Medical Labs and Ecomed Medical Center in Freetown, Sierra Leone, to determine the paternity of a six-month-old child, allegedly between Appeals Court Judge Momoh Jah-Stevens and Affair partner Edwina Jamiru.
This testing was ordered by the High Court of Sierra Leone on October 6, 2025, as part of a case (Misc. App. 233/25; 2025 S. No. 17) to establish whether the plaintiff is the biological father, thereby determining the child's legal rights to support and well-being.
On October 9, 2025, at Ramsy Medical Labs, swabs were taken from both the child and mother in the presence of witnesses and secured in tamper-proof bags. The same rigorous standards and procedures were applied at Ecomed Medical Center, with the process lasting approximately forty minutes.
The DNA samples, collected to determine the biological relationship between the plaintiff and the child, are expected to yield results within 2–3 weeks. These findings will be presented in court on November 27, 2025.
The entire process was conducted under the supervision of representatives from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children's Affairs, legal rights advocates, and women's groups.
