The Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Dr. Haja Ramatulai Wurie, has concluded her participation in the 2026 Amujae High-Level Leadership Forum, she disclosed on her social media.
Returning with a renewed strategic mandate, Dr. Wurie emphasized the forum's pivotal role in expanding leadership pathways for women and driving transformative reform across Africa's higher education sector.
The prestigious intergenerational summit convened distinguished female leaders across governance, civil society, and academia to address systemic challenges facing African women in leadership. Throughout the high-level proceedings, delegates engaged in candid discussions focused on institutional governance, political participation, and sustainable policy frameworks designed to endure beyond individual tenures, she furthered.
Key priorities addressed during the summit included mobilizing sustainable financing for women-led initiatives, scaling up structured mentorship frameworks, and establishing robust cross-border allyship networks. Dr. Wurie underscored that these mechanisms are vital not only for empowering emerging female figures but also for building resilient educational infrastructure.
"The collaborative insights and strategic alliances forged in Dakar will directly inform our national strategy," stated Dr. Wurie.
"By embedding ethical governance, mentorship, and equitable opportunities into our higher education ecosystem, we ensure our academic institutions serve as incubators for the next generation of transformative leaders."
