East End Lions delivered a dominant performance on Sunday, June 28, 2026, thrashing Mighty Blackpool 5-0 at the Approved School Field in Freetown in a crucial Matchweek 32 fixture of the Leone Rock Premier League.
The emphatic victory dealt a significant setback to Mighty Blackpool’s hopes of moving clear of the relegation zone, while strengthening East End Lions’ push near the top of the table.
Played under cool conditions with kickoff at 4:30 p.m., the match got off to an exciting start as East End Lions asserted control from the early stages. Their pressure paid off in the 19th minute when Alie Conteh, wearing jersey number 14, calmly slotted home to give the hosts the lead.

For his outstanding display, Kargbo was named Man of the Match and received the match ball in recognition of his hat-trick heroics.
