In a significant step towards bolstering transparency and community relations, Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Francis Brima Meinday, the Eastern Regional Police Commander, hosted a high-profile press conference in Kenema. The event brought together journalists, civil society representatives, and key stakeholders for a comprehensive briefing on the region's security landscape, recent policing achievements, and the evolving vision of the Sierra Leone Police.


Chief Superintendent Bob Musa Mansaray, Local Unit Commander of the Kenema Division, opened the session, emphasizing collective responsibility in crime prevention and the force's commitment to transformation. Sub Inspector Brima James Musa, Regional Police Media Officer East, skillfully moderated the proceedings, ensuring a structured and insightful discussion.




AIG Meinday detailed prevailing crime trends, operational tactics, and notable successes in disrupting criminal networks and implementing targeted patrol strategies. He credited these improvements to dedicated officers and proactive community engagement. The Commander also unveiled new initiatives and strategic reforms aligned with the national transformation agenda, "From Force to Service," signaling a shift towards a service-oriented policing model centered on dignity, human rights, and public trust.
