Fatal Injection Administered: Unqualified Practitioner Arrested

Local authorities arrested an unqualified individual on Monday, August 10, 2026, after an illegal medical procedure allegedly resulted in the death of a local woman.
The suspect, identified as Musa Ngevao, was taken into custody at the Marlin Health Center by a police team led by Crime Officer D/ASP John Fayia Focko. The arrest followed a report from Ibrahim Ngevao, who alleged that the suspect administered an injection to his wife, Fatmata M. Ngevao, earlier that morning, leading to her immediate death.
Preliminary police investigations revealed that Musa Ngevao is not a trained or qualified medical practitioner. Evidence suggests the suspect had been covertly administering drugs and injections to the public. In this instance, investigators believe a "Peniron Injection" administered into the victim’s left hand was the cause of death. Medical equipment and various substances were seized at the scene.
In a notable detail, authorities established that the suspect is the son of a qualified medical professional currently employed with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Hanga. Despite this family background, the suspect had no legal standing to perform medical services.
The suspect remains in custody at the Tongo Police Station as the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) continues its inquiry.
The police have documented the scene and recovered medical evidence to support the ongoing case.
