FC Kallon secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Old Edwardians on Wednesday, 3rd June 2026, in an entertaining Leone Rock Premier League clash played at the Approved School Field.
Despite heavy rainfall, the 4:30 PM kickoff produced an exciting contest from start to finish, with both sides delivering an open and competitive display.
Old Edwardians made the brighter start and were rewarded in the 14th minute when Mamadi Conde continued his fine scoring form, netting for the third consecutive match to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
FC Kallon responded swiftly, with Sheik Mohamed Kallon restoring parity in the 22nd minute through a composed finish that brought the hosts back into the game at 1-1.
Momentum shifted in favour of the Cavaliers, who completed the turnaround in the 30th minute when striker Momoh Lapo Dumbuya converted clinically to put FC Kallon ahead 2-1.
However, Old Edwardians refused to go into the break behind. Just before halftime, Issa Mansaray struck in the 44th minute to level the score at 2-2, setting up a finely balanced second half.
FC Kallon made a perfect restart to the game, regaining the lead just 60 seconds into the second half. Yamoussa Camara struck in the 46th minute to make it 3-2 for the hosts.
Both teams made tactical changes as the intensity increased, with chances created at both ends of the pitch. FC Kallon pushed for a fourth goal but were repeatedly denied by a resilient Old Edwardians defence, while the visitors came close to equalising in the 77th minute but failed to convert a clear opportunity.
The closing stages saw end-to-end action as both sides searched for another breakthrough, but FC Kallon held firm to secure all three points in a dramatic encounter.
The result sees FC Kallon return to winning ways, while Old Edwardians miss the opportunity to climb into second place on the league table.
