Four individuals have appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown, facing charges related to the alleged theft of an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The accused—Ibrahim Kamara, Kelvin Parker, Adekalie Kargbo, and Joseph Kallon—were formally arraigned on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, larceny, and receiving stolen goods, pursuant to the Larceny Act of 1916.

The indictment alleges that Ibrahim Kamara, Kelvin Parker, and Joseph Kallon conspired to commit larceny on December 31, 2025, at the Jolie Bridge Mosque along Kroo Town Road. It is further alleged that Mr. Kamara subsequently stole the iPhone, valued at US$1,650 (Le 39,600), the property of Fatmata Binta Bah.

In a separate count, Adekalie Kargbo was charged with receiving the stolen iPhone at the Belgium Business Centre on Lightfoot Boston Street, with knowledge that it was stolen property.

Upon the reading of the charges, the first and third defendants, Mr. Kamara and Mr. Kallon, entered guilty pleas, while the second and fourth defendants, Mr. Parker and Mr. Kargbo, pleaded not guilty.

The prosecution is being handled by CSP Zaiza S. G. Fomba. Counsel for the fourth defendant, Mr. Bangura, submitted an application for bail, citing his client’s Sierra Leonean residency within the Western Area, the availability of credible sureties, and the time already spent in custody. The application was made under Section 761(c) of the Criminal Procedure Act, 2024.

Magistrate Jah stated that the court would review the bail application and adjourned the matter to February 3, 2026, for further hearing.
