Four Sierra Leonean Match Officials Earn CAF Confederation Cup Appointment

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed four Sierra Leonean match officials to officiate a CAF Confederation Cup fixture between Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy FC and AS Port-Louis 2000 of Mauritius.

The match is scheduled to take place on September 12, 2026, providing the Sierra Leonean officials with another opportunity to officiate at the continental level.

The appointment reflects CAF’s continued confidence in Sierra Leonean match officials and the ongoing development and professionalisation of refereeing in the country.

Sierra Leonean referees have continued to receive appointments for major African football competitions, contributing to the country’s growing presence on the continental refereeing scene.

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has congratulated the four officials on their appointment and wished them success ahead of the fixture.

The officials are expected to represent Sierra Leone as they take charge of the Confederation Cup encounter in Botswana.
