Freetown City FC produced a dominant display on Monday, 13th April 2026, at the Approved School Field, securing a commanding 3-0 victory over FC Kallon in Matchweek 24 of the Leone Rock Premier League.
The result deepened FC Kallon’s struggles, handing them a fourth consecutive league defeat, while Freetown City FC delivered one of their most complete performances of the season.
Striker Hendovei Tucker was the standout performer, opening the scoring with a well-timed poacher’s finish after making a sharp run behind the defence to slot past the advancing goalkeeper.
Tucker doubled his tally later in the match, capitalising on Freetown City’s sustained pressure and control in midfield. His brace took his season tally to 10 league goals, drawing level with Randy M. George and moving within one goal of top scorer James Jusu Kanja of Old Edwardians.
Between Tucker’s two goals, Alhassan Sillah added a second for Freetown City FC in the 82nd minute. He calmly finished from close range after meeting a low cross, completing a flowing team move that reflected the home side’s superiority.
FC Kallon’s afternoon worsened in the second half when Nathaniel Jalloh was shown a straight red card, reducing the visitors to 10 men. Already trailing and under pressure, the dismissal left Kallon further exposed as Freetown City dictated the tempo and created multiple scoring opportunities.
The defeat extends FC Kallon’s losing streak to four matches, following earlier setbacks against Bo Rangers, Mighty Blackpool, and East End Lions, deepening concerns over form and team structure as the season progresses.
In contrast, Freetown City FC will take confidence from the result, with a disciplined defensive display and clinical finishing helping them secure all three points as they remain in 14th position on the league table.
The win provides a timely boost as the season enters its decisive phase, while FC Kallon continue their search for a turnaround in form.
