The Director General of the National Petroleum Regulatory Authority Baluwa Koroma recently held a meeting with Mr. Pedro Miras, President of WPC Energy, during the ongoing World Petroleum Council Congress in Kuwait City.


WPC Energy, established in 1933, boasts 60-member countries that account for over 96% of global petroleum production and consumption, making it a leading guide in the sector.





Discussions between the Director General and Mr. Miras focused on how current global dynamics and trends are impacting individual domestic markets. Both parties emphasized the need to adopt policies that address these new realities while upholding core values of equity, partnerships, and collaborations within the industry.


Mr. Miras reiterated WPC Energy's commitment to fostering meaningful initiatives that will support the sustained growth of the oil and gas industry worldwide. He affirmed that the organization will continue to concentrate on critical industry issues, explore emerging solutions, and provide member countries with opportunities for business development.





The congress presented a unique opportunity for the Director General to engage with global oil and gas industry leaders in Kuwait City, exploring key areas of partnership across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.
