Health For All Coalition Supports National Multiage Cohort Vaccination Campaign

Health For All Coalition (HFAC), a leading civil society organization dedicated to advancing public health equity, has announced its full support for the upcoming National Multiage Cohort (MAC) Vaccination Campaign, led by the Ministry of Health and the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI).

HFAC has been at the forefront of promoting improved health services, accountability in the health sector, and community-led health initiatives, with a core belief that quality healthcare is a fundamental right for every citizen.

Scheduled to run from November 17 to November 23, 2025, the campaign aims to provide free vaccinations to all girls aged 11 to 18 years. Vaccines will be administered in schools, learning institutions, and designated community centers across the country.

In a statement, the Coalition expressed its readiness to partner with the MoH/EPI, mobilizing its network of community advocates, volunteers, and partner organizations to ensure the campaign’s success.

"This campaign is a monumental step towards safeguarding the health and future of our young women in Sierra Leone," said Mr. Charles Mambu, Executive Director of HFAC. "By targeting this multiage cohort, we are not just preventing disease; we are investing in a generation. Our volunteers will be on the front lines, from the Western Area to the most remote villages, ensuring no girl is left behind."

The MAC campaign is designed to close immunity gaps and protect adolescents from serious diseases. While the specific vaccines were not detailed in the initial announcement, such campaigns often include vital inoculations like the HPV vaccine to prevent cervical cancer.

HFAC has outlined a multi-pronged support strategy, including community sensitization, advocacy, and monitoring.

Parents and guardians of girls aged 11 to 18 are urged to take full advantage of this free, week-long opportunity and ensure their daughters attend the designated vaccination sites during the campaign period.
