The operations team of Motema Police Division, led by Inspector Abubakarr Kamara under the supervision of the Local Unit Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Mohamed Turay, has intensified raids and searches across targeted communities.
The operations, focused mainly on Sewafe, Koakoyima, and Kumao, aimed to clamp down on the illegal sale and abuse of narcotic drugs, particularly Kush.

Officers conducted thorough searches at major checkpoints, suspected hideouts, and the homes of identified dealers and distributors. Several makeshift ghettos were dismantled during the exercise.
In addition to enforcement actions, the team engaged residents and drug users, sensitizing them on the negative health and social impacts of narcotics.

The proactive operations have created significant deterrence, forcing many dealers and distributors to flee their communities. CSP Mohamed Turay commended the operations team for their dedication and reaffirmed the division’s commitment to ensuring a drug-free environment through sustained enforcement and community engagement.

The ongoing efforts continue to restore peace, public confidence, and discipline across Motema Division.
